Ancestry.com civil war information for William B. Van Wickle: Enlisted 15 February 1864 Union Army at age 29. Assigned to Co. C, 13th Michigan Infantry Regiment on 23 Feb 1864. Was a POW on 24 March 1865 at Goldsboro, NC. Discharged from Co. C, 13th I.R. Michigan on 3 June 1865 in Detroit, MI. William filed for Civil War pension benefits at Johnstown, Barry, MI on 26 June 1892 and his wife, Mary A. Van Wickle filed for Civil War pension benefits 21 June 1907, Michigan--after William died on 11 June 1907.
